Sensography
Developed by Joumana Mourad, Sensography is the science/art of devising, choreographing and creating dramaturgies for physical, digital and hybrid environments. It’s a toolkit enabling choreographers, theatre makers, live artists and musicians to create linear and non-linear narratives by interweaving movement/sound/music/cinematography and all that lies in betweenwith the latest available technologies.
Sensography supports those wishing to work within digital and hybrid spaces using multi-camera live streaming, VR, AR, MR, to create work specific to the digital environments they choose.
Sensography involves
· The consideration of all the platforms in the user journey
· The artist adapting their awareness and embodiment for hybrid audiences who could be anywhere, focusing in as much detail as they like for as short a time as they like
· Investigating ways artists can connect with online audiences, or audiences in VR, at the same time as those physically present.
Sensography is about creating immersive, interactive experiences by the artist positioning themself in physical and virtual spaces in ways that create a seamless flow between realities. It means embedding technologies in work from its inception, in order to support the innovative sharing of narrative arcs, whether linear or abstract.
Panel Discussions – Connective Matrix

Regular panel discussions and round table events provide opportunities to discuss the range of new creative technologies, facilitating knowledge-sharing, and nurturing innovation. Connective Matrix resets approaches and promotes discourse in the wider industry around the transformational potential of new technologies.
