Open Online Theatre programm 21/22

The Online Open Theatre (OOT) programme upskills performing artists in the use of digital technologies to enhance their practice and sustain their careers.

What is it?

The 12-16 week course offers training and individual mentoring in:

developing hybrid work specifically for simultaneous live streaming and live audiences using 3 – 8 cameras
filming and live editing
co-creation with online audiences
monetisation of live streamed work
business skills for a sustainable career
social media to grow audiences

The programme includes the option to develop a piece for inclusion in the internationally attended OOT Festival for a simultaneous live and online audience.

Who is it for?
We’d like to hear from performing artists (dance, theatre, circus, live art, comedy, cabaret) who
are excited by the ways technology can deepen, enhance and develop their work
are keen to use technology to grow their audience
wish to develop necessary skills to create quality live streamed and mixed reality performance

Participation in the programme and festival is 90% subsidised.
What will you gain?

You will leave the programme with an expert strategic action plan to

create original hybrid work to be seen in multiple realities
grow your audience
reset your creative approach to live streamed work
co-create with audiences online
monetise your live-streamed their work from anywhere

plus

all admin costs are waived for future use of the Open Online Theatre live streaming platform, and you will become part of an OOT peer network of artists.
